Service level agreement (SLA)
During the term of the agreement between Skolon and the User Organisation the following SLA applies. The Covered Service will provide a Monthly uptime percentage of at least 99,5% for the User Organisation..
Definitions
User Organisation: Is the organisation that signed the agreement with Skolon.
Covered Service: Includes the IT portal Skolon, external plugins, APIs, and the portal available at https://app.skolon.com for administration. The covered service does not include tools provided by third parties in the service.
Downtime consists of:
- Lost access to the IT portal at https://app.skolon.com
- Main features that can not be used in accordance with the intended purpose, including Single sign on (SSO) to connected apps, license management, app search.
- Interruption in integrations with federated sign in/custom IDP.
To count as downtime, the error must have occurred in the Skolon IT Portal. Errors caused by other integrating party does not count as downtime, for example unavailable apps and similar not caused in the Skolon IT Portal. Errors occurring during a Maintenance Window does not count as downtime.
Downtime Period: Is the period of Downtime of the Covered Service. To count as a Downtime Period a period of at least 5 minutes of Downtime shall have passed.
Monthly Uptime Percentage: Is the number of minutes in the month minus the total number of Downtime during the whole month divided by the number of minutes in the month.
Maintenance Window: Is the period of time where Skolon takes the service offline for maintenance. All Maintenance Windows will be announced at skolon.com.
Scheduled Downtime: Is Downtime as a result of Skolon taking the service offline during a Maintenance Window.
Compensation for Downtime: If the Monthly Uptime Percentage goes beneath the limit established in this document, compensation can be requested. This is done according to the table below.

User organisation must request compensation.
To acquire compensation in accordance with “Compensation for Downtime” above, the User organisation must notify Skolon about the claim to support@skolon.com within 30 days from the month end when the downtime occurred.
The user organisation must also be able to prove that Downtime occurred. This can be done by contacting Skolon at the moment of Downtime or by other means providing evidence. It is also required that the User organisation notifies Skolon of the Downtime within 15 minutes from when the Downtime was discovered. Otherwise the Downtime will be counted from the time when Skolon is notified.
If the User organisation fails to achieve the requirements given above, the compensation will be forfeit.
Obtaining compensation
Compensation is deducted from the following month’s expenses.
Exceptions from the SLA
Circumstances under which this SLA is not applicable:
- Usage of BETA features.
- When the cause is out of Skolons control.
- When the cause is due to partners, third parties or boths software or hardware.
- When downtime is due to abuse or violation of the agreement.
- When licenses or other quotas given in advance have expired.
- When it is explicitly documented for the service that SLA does not apply.

Servicenivåavtal / Service level agreement (SLA)
Under perioden då avtal är bundet mellan Skolon och en kund gäller följande SLA. Tjänsten garanteras för varje månad en minsta månatlig upptidsprocent för en skola på 99,5%.
Definitioner
Skola: Innebär här organisationen som sluter avtal med Skolon.
Tjänsten: Innefattar IT-portalen Skolon, externa plugin och API:er och portal på https://app.skolon.com för elever, lärare och administratörer. Tjänsten omfattar inte de verktyg från externa parter som finns i tjänsten.
Nertid: Utgörs av något av följande:
- Förlorad åtkomst till IT-portalen på https://app.skolon.com
- Huvudfunktioner som ej kan användas för avsett ändamål. Inkluderat Single sign on (SSO) till anslutna verktyg, licenshantering, verktygssökning, integrationslösningar för användarprovisionering och inloggning.
- Avbrott i integrationslösningar så som användarprovisionering, federerad inloggning.
För att räknas som nertid måste felet ha uppstått i Skolons IT-Portal. Fel som orsakas av annan integrerande part än Skolon utgör inte nertid, dvs så som otillgängliga verktyg och liknande där felet ej uppstått i Skolons IT-portal. Fel som uppstår under ett underhållsfönster räknas inte till nertid.
Nertidsperiod: Innebär perioden för nertid av tjänsten. För att räknas till en påbörjad nertidsperiod ska det uppgå till minst 5 minuter av nertid.
Månatlig upptidsprocent: Antalet minuter under månaden minus det totala antalet minuter av nertid under hela månaden delat med antalet minuter under månaden.
Underhållsfönster: Den period då Skolon tar tjänsten offline för underhåll. Alla underhållsfönster annonseras på skolon.com.
Schemalagd nertid: Innebär nertid som resultat av att Skolon utför underhåll av tjänsten under ett underhållsfönster.
Ersättning för nertidsperiod: Om den månatliga upptidsprocenten går under gränsen som fastslås i detta dokument kan ersättning utkrävas. Detta kan göras i enlighet med nedanstående tabell.

En skola måste begära ersättning
För att kunna få ersättning enligt punkten “Ersättning för nertid” ovan måste skolan notifiera Skolon om anspråket via support@skolon.com inom 30 dagar från månadsslutet då nertiden uppstod.
Skolan måste också kunna bevisa att nertiden uppstått. Detta kan göras genom att kontakta Skolon vid tillfället för nertid alternativt lägga fram andra bevis.
Det krävs också att skolan meddelar Skolon om nertiden inom 30 minuter från att den upptäckts. Annars börjar nertiden räknas från tidpunkten då Skolon meddelats.
Om skolan misslyckas med att uppnå ovan givna krav kommer ersättningen gå förlorad.
Erhållande av ersättning
Ersättning dras av från efterkommande månads kostnader.
Undantag från SLA
Orsaker som gör att detta SLA inte gäller är:
- Användning av BETA-funktioner
- När orsaken står utom Skolons kontroll
- När orsaken beror på skolans, tredjeparts eller bådas mjukvara eller hårdvara
- När nertiden beror på missbruk eller brott mot avtalet
- När licenser eller andra på förhand givna kvoter tagit slut
- När det uttryckligen är dokumenterat för tjänsten att SLA inte gäller
