Skolon launches unique platform for guardians
Guardians will now have the same simple and secure access to Skolon that teachers and pupils have enjoyed since 2015. The goal? To make digital learning accessible to everyone, including guardians who wish to actively engage in their child’s learning and education.
Helping children with homework in digital educational tools is often a challenging task for guardians. Today, it can be difficult—sometimes even impossible—to know where to find all the tools, which login credentials to use, and where to locate important information from the school. With the new Skolon Guardians tool, guardians can now use their personal login to Skolon to easily and securely stay connected to their child’s school life.
Skolon’s CEO, Oliver Lundgren, explains:
“We’ve been solving digital technical challenges and simplifying schoolwork for teachers and pupils since 2015. Over the years, we’ve received requests from both schools and parents to include guardians as a target group. Our initiative for guardians is something we’ve carefully developed over time in collaboration with selected users. Launching this tool now feels both exciting and significant.”
Initial interest in the platform has been substantial, and early feedback from existing customers has been positive. For Skolon’s partners, including providers in the edtech sector, the tool for guardians also opens up new opportunities.
“This marks the first step in opening up a new, exciting, and long-term focus area for Skolon. It’s important to emphasise that we remain the central hub for all the various tools and services available in education. Within the guardian sector, there are already many excellent services and products, but a unified platform like Skolon that brings everything together has been missing. This allows both current and new partners of Skolon to contribute even greater value to their users,” concludes Oliver Lundgren.
Skolon Guardians will make its debut at one of the world’s leading edtech events, the BETT Show in London, from 22 to 24 January. Following its unveiling, the tool will be gradually rolled out to schools during the spring, with a broader release planned in time for the autumn term.
Schools already using Skolon can now register their interest in Skolon Guardians via the Skolon website here.
This is Skolon – we gather the best digital educational tools and make them work in the classroom.
Skolon is an independent platform for digital educational tools and learning resources, created for both teachers and students. With Skolon, accessing and using your digital educational tools is easy – security increases, administration decreases, and there’s more time for learning.
The digital educational tools come from both small and large providers, all of whom have one thing in common – they create digital educational tools that are beneficial for the school environment.
