Their web-based platform, TextAid, uses advanced text-to-speech technology with natural, clear voices to read any text aloud, helping students – especially those with dyslexia – follow along with word-by-word highlighting. Therefore, reducing reading fatigue and boosting understanding.

TextAid also offers fully customisable options like dyslexia-friendly fonts (including OpenDyslexic), adjustable text colors and sizes, coupled with helpful tools like screen masks and reading rulers to improve focus.

These features play a crucial role in creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment.

A 2018 report found that less than half of teachers feel adequately prepared to support students with learning differences. By providing tools like TextAid, Skolon helps ensure every child can participate fully in their education.
