Case study: Simplification at scale – How Just2easy and Skolon are removing barriers to primary education

The vision: Just too easy
For Just2easy (J2e), the mission is embedded in the name. Managing Director Danny Young oversees a suite of tools designed to cover the entire primary curriculum: from coding and databases to content creation.
While J2e is a powerhouse in the UK, powering nearly 7,000 primary schools and holding government-level licenses in Wales and Northern Ireland, they faced a universal classroom killer that we’re all too familiar with: the login process.
The challenge: The 30-minute login
In a primary classroom of 30 pupils, some as young as four years old, the traditional username and password model is a significant hurdle.
The solution: A strategic partnership with Skolon
Just2Easy chose to partner with Skolon to bridge the gap between their curriculum tools and the classroom. The partnership was founded on three core pillars:
Instant accessibility via QR codes
By integrating with the Skolon platform, the “login nonsense” was eliminated. Students now simply flash a QR code in front of their device camera and are instantly logged into the Just2Easy suite. This transforms a 30-minute ordeal into a 30-second start.
Ironclad data security
Given J2e’s work with UK government bodies, GDPR compliance was non-negotiable. Skolon’s robust security framework matched J2e’s rigorous standards, providing a safe, compliant environment for student data across borders.
Market expansion & discovery
The partnership allowed schools to discover and “try before they buy” directly within the Skolon platform. Furthermore, Skolon’s presence in markets like Scandinavia and Germany provided Just2Easy with a streamlined pathway to international growth.
The impact: Putting the focus back on learning
The synergy between the two platforms has allowed each company to focus on its “core genius”:
Just2easy concentrates on delivering world-class teaching, learning, and assessment tools.
Skolon handles the technical heavy lifting of administration, authentication, and user management.

Looking ahead
The partnership is evolving into a global mission. With existing customers already embracing both platforms, the goal is to bring high-quality EdTech solutions to schools worldwide, ensuring that technology acts as a catalyst for education rather than a barrier.
“I’d say go for it. Why wouldn’t you? Let Skolon concentrate on the login and administration, and you focus on bringing great tools into the classroom.”
