Skolon and EduEvidence in partnership for more research-based digital learning

Skolon has entered into a partnership with the international organisation EduEvidence, which certifies the impact of digital learning tools. The aim is to give schools better opportunities to both find and use effective, research-validated digital resources in teaching.
EduEvidence is a global, non-profit organisation that certifies the impact of digital learning tools. Using its so-called 5Es model, it assesses efficacy, equity, ethics, environmental impact and actual classroom benefit. The model has been developed through academic research and in collaboration with both teachers and industry experts.
Tools certified by EduEvidence are listed in the Global EdTech Evidence List – a catalogue used by schools and decision-makers worldwide to identify reliable and research-based digital resources. The certification process means that different EdTech solutions can be independently validated against international benchmarks, providing credible evidence of learning outcomes, cost-effectiveness and ethical design.
By integrating EduEvidence’s independent certifications into Skolon’s platform, schools gain clearer guidance in finding and using digital tools that are backed by research. Teachers and school leaders can be confident that the tools they use not only work in practice, but are also tested and quality-assured for real impact in teaching. This also saves time and increases confidence in procurement decisions.
Skolon’s CEO, Oliver Lundgren, sees the partnership with EduEvidence as a way to strengthen not only the platform’s library, but above all the learning in classrooms:
– With EduEvidence as a partner, we can give schools even better support in choosing the right tools – tools that we know make a real difference to pupils’ learning. The partnership is very timely and will help municipalities, schools and teachers make well-informed decisions to ensure that every resource in the classroom has a clear educational value.
Trond Ingebretsen, co-founder of EduEvidence, adds:
– We are delighted to partner with Skolon to make evidence more accessible and actionable for schools. By integrating our evidence data into Skolon’s platform, educators gain powerful tools to visualise research that directly supports learning. We are proud to contribute to such a forward-thinking solution dedicated to improving education through evidence-informed practice.
