Skolon launches AI Studio – a new initiative making it easier and safer to create AI-powered solutions for education

Following the success of the applied AI tool Skolup for teachers and students, Skolon is now taking the next step in its AI journey. Through the launch of the new AI-based infrastructure platform, Skolon AI Studio, the company aims to make it easier for its partner and school community to benefit from the opportunities AI brings to education.
AI is evolving rapidly and creating new opportunities across the education sector. At the same time, high demands are placed on security, structure and long-term sustainability when new solutions are to be used in everyday school life. With Skolon AI Studio, edtech providers, education innovators and school organisations gain access to an AI-based platform where tools created with AI can be distributed through Skolon’s established infrastructure and ecosystem.
“Through our own internal work, as well as through our AI tool Skolup, which is now used by more than 250,000 teachers and students, we have seen first-hand the potential of AI. Over the past year in particular, we have also identified a new need among both edtech partners and school organisations. They have built solutions using AI with significant potential for education, but often lack the right infrastructure for distribution, administration and security. Skolon AI Studio was born directly from this need,” says Oliver Lundgren, CEO of Skolon.
Through Skolon AI Studio, partners who have developed a solution using AI gain access to secure hosting and operations, plugins for popular AI platforms, source code reviews and a significantly simpler distribution process. For end users, this means benefits such as seamless single sign-on (SSO), automated licence management and the ability to access all digital tools in one place.
The platform has been designed to meet both the technical and practical needs of the education ecosystem, where security, administration and accessibility must work seamlessly alongside innovation and development.
“With Skolon AI Studio, we want to strengthen innovation and make it easier to create solutions that make a real difference for teachers and students. Our ambition is to build an ecosystem where schools, educators, learning content providers and AI developers can work together to shape the future of learning on education’s terms,” concludes Oliver Lundgren.
Initially, Skolon AI Studio will be made available to selected users through an early access programme. Interested organisations can already register their interest to be among the first to get started.
